Abstract:Phlorotannins is a class of phenolic compounds extracted from brown algae，which has a wide range of biological activities such as antioxidant，antibacterial，anti-viral，anti-tumor，anti-cardiovascular disease and anti-diabetes syndrome.Antioxidant is a prominent functional characteristic of brown algae polyphenols.This paper summarizes the research on extraction，separation，antioxidant activity and influencing factors of brown algae polyphenols.
